Способи технічного перекладу наукових текстів авіаційної тематики (на прикладі англо-української версії нормативно-технічної версії ІКАО)

Abstract

У статті розглядаються проблеми перекладу англомовної науково-технічної літератури авіаційної тематики в лінгвокогнітивному аспекті мови. Основна увага приділяється виокремленню ефективних видів перекладу специфічної авіаційної термінології з англійської мови на українську.

Analysis of translation methods of scientific and technical aviation literature shows that the quality of translation depends on the correct choice of the translation type, proper application of translation strategies and the types of pragmatic adaptation. An attempt to explore the linguistic features of acronyms and abbreviations in aviation texts has been made. It has been determined that, in general, the difficulties arise in the process of words decoding. Having summarized the results of the study of lexemes and their interpretation we can say that lexical means of translation of aviation terms are used in the process of translation of English aviation terminology into Ukrainian, because they are an effective way to overcome inconsistencies at the lexical level of English and Ukrainian language systems. Different types of translation are used to translate reductions in technical aviation texts, but the most common types are transcoding and narrative techniques. These translation techniques make conditions for the formation of a unified system of aviation terms, that is, for the emergence of a single global database terminology. Every sphere has its own highly specialized technical terms, so an active cooperation of linguists and specialists of various fields, including aviation for the purpose of multidimensional analysis of special terminology is advisable. Therefore, we consider complex linguistic approach as an original dominant of scientific and technical translation of aviation texts. This approach is based on the study of the characteristics of terminology of individual industries and techniques of adequate translation. It determines the further vectors of scientific research of the mentioned problems.
