Cultural intelligence as an attribute of a teacher’s professional profile

Abstract

В умовах стрімкої глобалізації концепція сучасної освіти переглядається з метою сприяння усвідомленню позитивної цінності культурного розмаїття і вдосконалення як розробки навчальних програм, так і підготовки вчителів. Ця ідея відображена в низці міжнародних документів. Зокрема, план заходів у Загальній декларації ЮНЕСКО про культурне різноманіття передбачає включення традиційної педагогіки в навчальний процес із повним використанням відповідних методів передачі знань.

With rapid globalization, the concept of modern education is being reconsidered with the purpose of promoting an awareness of the positive value of cultural diversity and improving to this end both curriculum design and teacher education. This idea is reflected in a number of international documents. In particular, the action plan of the UNESCO Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity envisages incorporation of traditional pedagogies into the education process with making full use of culturally appropriate methods of transmission of knowledge.
