Organization of international cargo delivery in a digital economy

Abstract

The relevance of the study of digital economy problems and related concepts is determined by the fact that the share of industries that rely on digital technologies is constantly growing. There are processes of penetration of digital technologies into other spheres of society, in particular, into international trade and the organization of international deliveries on the basis of digital technologies, which radically change their technological structure. Some activities have already been completely transformed under the influence of digital technologies. It is to be expected that e-commerce will soon dominate at the household level, and approaches to the organization of trade itself will change greatly. The study of the socio-economic consequences of such changes is of serious scientific interest. At the same time, the dynamism of the digital economy and the diversity of its manifestations are the reason why many areas of the economy and the impact of digitalization on them remain poorly understood. One of such areas is the organization of international cargo delivery. This explains the choice of the topic of scientific research, the relevance of which does not require additional argumentation, because it is obvious.

Актуальність дослідження проблем цифрової економіки та пов'язаних з ними концепцій визначається тим, що частка галузей, які покладаються на цифрові технології, постійно зростає. Відбуваються процеси проникнення цифрових технологій в інші сфери суспільства, зокрема, в міжнародну торгівлю та організацію міжнародних поставок на базі цифрових технологій, що докорінно змінює їх технологічну структуру. Деякі види діяльності вже повністю трансформувались під впливом цифрових технологій. Очікується, що електронна комерція незабаром домінуватиме на рівні домогосподарств, і підходи до самої організації торгівлі сильно зміняться. Вивчення соціально-економічних наслідків таких змін представляє серйозний науковий інтерес. Водночас динамічність цифрової економіки та різноманітність її проявів є причиною того, що багато сфер економіки та вплив цифровізації на них залишаються недостатньо вивченими. Одним з таких напрямків є організація міжнародної доставки вантажів. Це пояснює вибір теми наукового дослідження, актуальність якої не вимагає додаткової аргументації, оскільки вона очевидна.
