Шевченкіана на сторінках часопису «Наше життя»

Abstract

У статті подано узагальнений аналіз змісту часопису «Наше життя» – двомовного журналу Союзу українок Америки (СУА) з метою виявлення серед матеріалів, що розкривають різноманітні аспекти культурно-освітнього життя української еміграції, шевченкіани. Зроблено висновок, що шевченкіана займала й продовжує займати чільне місце на сторінках часопису, а утвердження культу Тараса Шевченка залишається одним із провідних напрямів культурно-освітньої діяльності української жіночої громади США загалом та СУА, зокрема. The article gives a generalized analysis of the content of the magazine «Our Life» - the bilingual magazine of the the Union of Ukrainian Women in the USA in order to identify among the materials that reveal various aspects of the cultural and educational life of Ukrainian emigration, Shevchenko. It was concluded that shevchenkiana occupied and continues to occupy a prominent place on the pages of the magazine, and the adoption of the cult of Taras Shevchenko remains one of the leading areas of cultural and educational activity of the Ukrainian women's community in the USA as a whole, and in particular, the Union of Ukrainian Women in the USA.
